Sources: Canelo considers THIRD fight against Golovkin: But there is a CONDITION

Saul Alvarez is interested in a third fight against Gennady Golovkin in September, Mike Coppinger has informed.  “Sources: Canelo Alvarez has expressed interest in fighting Gennadiy Golovkin in September after previously showing little interest in a trilogy bout. Alvarez plans to campaign at 168 pounds so GGG would likely have to move up from 160. DAZN has long tried to finalize the fight” Coppinger wrote on twitter.

Earlier, Mexican boxer told the media he’s not interested in Golovkin but had not ruled out the possibility of the third fight.  After the controversial draw back in 2017, Alvarez beat Golovkin in 2018 via majority decision.  Canelo’s team is currently working on organizing a fight against Billie Joe Sunders in Las-Vegas for May 2.
