Solskjaer puts three players up for sale

Manchester United head coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has reportedly put Chris Smalling, Phil Jones and Marcos Rojo up for sale. The Norwegian is eyeing a centre-back this transfer window as he plots a path to Premier League title glory. But it appears the 47-year-old will have to sell before he buys this summer. Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof were both good last season but, despite their impressive displays, the Norwegian wants more. According to the Manchester Evening News Smalling, Jones and Rojo are ‘tagged’ as for sale as the Red Devils seek further improvement following their return to the Champions League. There have been suggestions Smalling may be given another chance at United, having impressed over in Serie A with Roma during a loan spell. However, with Lindelof, Maguire, Tuanzebe and Bailly all ahead of him in the pecking order, a parting of the ways is now on the cards. However, repeated injury problems have scuppered his Old Trafford career and Newcastle are interested in securing his signature. And, if the Red Devils can find a buyer, they’ll also part ways with the Argentine. Source- Daily and Sunday Express
