Solskjaer names three Manchester United players he wants sold

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is getting prepared for the upcoming summer transfer window – despite not being made permanent manager yet. The Norwegian has made a major impression since being put in charge after Jose Mourinho’s sacking. The 46-year-old is in daily dialogue with the club’s executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward and reportedly he has laid down his transfer shortlist for the summer with Jadon Sancho topping the list. Solskjaer is also ready to get ruthless with his current squad, and has similarly told Woodward of the players he wants to get rid of this summer. Club captain Antonio Valencia is already set to leave. The Ecuadorian’s contract is up this summer. Marcos Rojo will also be cut by the Norwegian. The Argentine’s spell at Old Trafford has been badly punctuated by injuries, and he is fifth choice centre-half right now. The third name that has been made clear United should move on is Alexis Sanchez. Sanchez, 30, has been largely ineffective since moving to the north west, the £400,000-a-week Chilean not helped by injury struggles.
