Smith Rowe, Martinelli: Latest Arsenal injury updates ahead of Southampton clash

Arsenal are set to face Southampton on Saturday as the Premier League action resumes. And ahead of the match here are the latest injury updates for the Gunners. Emile Smith Rowe suffered a slight issue with his groin in the trip to Old Trafford and he wasn't fit enough to return against Everton as is still a doubt ahead of Saturday. So far head coach Mikel Arteta has said:
He [Emile Smith Rowe] had some discomfort during the game [against Manchester United] and we decided to take him off. He's been evolving well over the last few days, so we have to wait until tomorrow to see how he is.”
Gabriel Martinelli suffered a hamstring problem at Goodison Park, as an official injury update will emerge later this week. Arteta said on Martinelli:
"I don’t know we will have to assess him."
Bernd Leno picked up a slight groin issue in training that has kept him out so far and again, remains a doubt for the weekend. The goalkeeper missed the clash with United and didn't return for the Everton game either. Source - football.london Join us on Telegram!/ Follow us on Twitter!
