Sky reporter says Arsenal's coaches still really like 24-year-old Mikel Arteta could sell

Dharmesh Sheth has revealed that Arsenal’s coaching staff still like Lucas Torreira, despite his doubtful future at the Emirates Stadium. The 24-year-old has been loaned to Atletico Madrid for a season but failed to set his regular place in the squad, while the Gunners have seen his value fall as well. “Edu the technical director is quoted as saying that Arsenal is concerned about Torreira,” the reporter said on Sky Sports News. “That’s because he’s only made two starts in La Liga for Atletico Madrid. “I don’t think you can rule out Arsenal maybe cutting that short and then moving him on to another club where he would get first-team football, where if they were to sell him in the summer he would maintain that value. “As far as Torreira is concerned there was nothing bad about his departure at Arsenal. “He’s very well liked by the coaching staff, and is very well liked by the players. It just seemed to be a good time for him to move on, as he was having an issue with the language. “Mikel Arteta could speak Spanish to him, but communications with his teammates became a little bit of an issue, I’m told.”
