Six Manchester United players not in squad to face Manchester City in Carabao Cup semi-final


Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has teased a strong starting XI to face Manchester City. The manager has left six players out of his squad. The Reds Devils are looking to book a place in the Carabao Cup final against Tottenham and former boss Jose Mourinho with victory over their rivals at Old Trafford. Solskjaer has hinted that he is taking the game seriously. Lee Grant, Timothy Fosu-Mensah, Brandon Williams, Jesse Lingard, Facundo Pellistri and Odion Ighalo were not seen on Wednesday afternoon. United’s third goalkeeper, behind Dean Henderson and David de Gea, has only made two appearances since arriving from Stoke in 2018 Solksjaer also decided to leave out Williams, with Alex Telles and Luke Shaw included for the Old Trafford game.
