"The situation hasn’t changed". John van't Schip on Sokratis Papastathopoulos

Greece national team are preparing to play an away Euro 2020 qualifying game against Armenia on Friday, November 15. Ahead of the game, Greece national team coach John van't Schip gave a press conference. During a press conference, he was asked about Sokratis Papastathopoulos, who hasn't been included in the squad for the last two games against Italy and Bosnia and Herzegovina. To the question, asked by VBET News reporter, whether, by not including Papastathopoulos in the squad, Greece are preparing for life after him or he will be back to the national team, John van't Schip answered: “The situation hasn’t changed. I said that for this few games we want to select other players. We know what Sokratis can show and he can do. "We are now selecting other players. We are satisfied about some players that have played and got the opportunity to show that they are the players that can play in the national team and now it’s the next step for not only this players but also for the whole team to continue working and playing in a way we want.”
