Shocking story on why Manchester United failed to sign Serie A star
According to latest reports, Manchester United failed to sign Inter Milan star Ivan Perisic during summer transfer window because Ed Woodward, CEO of Red Devils, refused to increase the offer by just £3 m.
Perisic, considered one of Serie A best midfielders, had impressive World Cup with Croatia national team. He scored important goals in semifinal and final matches, while national team has won silver medals for the first time in their history.
Perisic was wanted by Jose Mourinho during last transfer windows. Manchester United was suggesting £45 m, while Nerazzurri demanded £48 m, which was rejected by Woodward.
