What shirt numbers could have Bernd Leno, Alexandr Golovin and Lucas Torreira at Arsenal?
Following Stephan Lichtsteiner's move from Juventus, Arsenal are expected to announce a number of new signings.
Bernd Leno has become Unai Emery’s second signing with Sokratis Papastathopoulos, Caglar Soyuncu, Lucas Torreria, Steven N'Zonzi and Ousmane Dembele all have been linked with a move to the Emirates.
Some of the squad numbers have already been announced for next campaign.
For example, Hector Bellerin will wear No.2 following Mathieu Debuchy's return to France in January, with Mohamed Elneny taking over the No.4 jersey after Per Mertesacker's retirement.
Petr Cech will swap his No.33 for No.1.
Granit Xhaka has taken his favoured No.34 shirt after wearing No.29 since his arrival at the club in 2016.
Lichtsteiner, who sealed his move from Juventus on Tuesday, will wear the No.12 shirt next season under Emery.
What refers to new signings, the image could be as follows.
No.3
Following Kieran Gibbs' move to West Brom last summer, No. 3shirt has been left vacant and now new defensive signings are expected to take the vacant shirt number.
No.5
This number is expected to be taken by either Sokartis or Soyuncu.
Gabriel Paulista was the last owner of the No.5 shirt.
No. 19
Santi Cazorla's departure from Arsenal has left the No.19 shirt available for any potential new arrivals at the club. So the one who will take the shirt number will be expected to do big things for the club.
No. 24
This shirt number previously belonged to Bellerin but now it’s vacant after the Spaniard elected to take No.2
No.24 is expected to be Bend Leno’s new shirt number.
Previously the number belonged to John Lukic, Richard Wright, Rami Shaaban, Manuel Almunia and Vito Mannone.
No. 29
The No.29 shirt is also available for new additions after Xhaka decided to revert to his favoured No.34.
No. 33
Cech's decision to become the club's No.1 has left the shirt number vacant.
Gavin McGowan, Tommy Black, Graham Stack, Nicklas Bendtner and Matthew Connolly previously wore the shirt before Cech took it on after joining from Chelsea.
