Shanghai Shenhua want Manchester United loanee Odion Ighalo back at the club

Shanghai Shenhua are demanding Odion Ighalo to return to China for pre-season training from his loan spell at Manchester United. The Nigerian had significant performances at United as he scored four goals in three starts. His form has led to suggestions United could make attempts to make his loan deal permanent. However, Shenhua have rejected United's offers to extend loan deal, according to Daily Mail. Ighalo's current deal with United expires at the end of this next month, with the Premier League not expected to restart until mid-late June. United were hopeful of retaining Ighalo's services for their remaining fixtures. Shenhua have always been keen for the 30-year-old to return to the club and they offered him a two-year contract extension. Meanwhile, they would be willing to accept a fee of £20million for Ighalo.
