Several Premier League clubs have come to an agreement that the season would be likely to finish by June 30, The Daily Mirror reports. 9 clubs will reportedly discuss the idea with others during the meeting on Friday. The idea of restarting the season as soon as possible will be discussed as clubs fear of the chaos that could happen in case PL delays the finish of the campaign. There will be no discussion on declaring the season null and void, as clubs are willing to play the remaining fixtures, so that there will be a champion, teams that will qualify for European competitions and clubs that will be relegated from the league. Also, there will be no uncertainty over the contracts of the future free agents. While FIFA are discussing possible options to resolve this issue, some clubs think it will be good to finish the season by June 30, so that free agents will leave their clubs with no obligations to stay longer. Besides, the rapid finish of remaining 9/10 matches would allow the clubs to plan the start of the next season in terms of ticket sales strategy, sponsorship contracts and TV broadcasting contracts. Liverpool are leading in the Premier League and have a 25-point advantage over Manchester City. Bournemouth, Aston Villa and Norwich are in the relegation zone.
