Sergio Aguero provides worrying injury update

Sergio Aguero is set to miss Manchester City’s Champions League campaign and believes he may not play again until next season due to his knee injury. While City flew to Lisbon on Monday before Saturday’s quarter-final with Lyon Aguero remained in Barcelona. The player continued his recovery. It is understood he has told friends that the chances of him recovering in time to be part of Pep Guardiola’s squad for the competition are slim, according to the Guardian. Aguero suffered the injury in the 5-0 win over Burnley on 24 June. The striker subsequently required surgery.
