Serena Williams has been discussing how things stand with Coach Patrick Mouratoglou after US Open Coaching claims, according to Tennis Today.
Williams has reiterated her stance on the allegation that really riled her – the coaching violation – insisting she still does not understand Patrick Mouratoglou’s confession that he was trying to coach her during the final.
“I just don’t understand what (Patrick Mouratoglou) was talking about because I asked him, you weren’t coaching, we don’t have signals, we’ve never had signals and he said he made a motion,” she told The Sunday Project.
“So you said you made a motion, now you told people that you’re coaching me, that doesn’t make sense, why would you say that?”
She did, however, indicate she was ready to simply just move on from the incident.
“What I’m just trying to do most of all is to just recover.”
