Scott McTominay hopes to return to the game soon after picking up an injury during Manchester United's 3 - 1 win over Brighton on Sunday.
The midfielder has suffered an ankle injury and had to be treated on the pitch by the club's medical staff.
The 22-year-old had to miss the Scotland squad fixture for Euro 2020 qualifiers in order to scan on his ankle on Monday.
McTominay has given an update on his fitness, posting on his
Instagram page on Tuesday evening after being officially awarded United's second goal in the 3 - 1 victory.
Alongside of his goal celebration picture, he wrote:
"Knew I celebrated for a reason. On a serious note I'm working hard to be back on the pitch as soon as possible. Thank you for the support."
