Sam Allardyce's evaluated Newcastle's decision to appoint Steve Bruce

Sam Allardyce believes Newcastle made right choice to appoint Steve Bruce as the head coach of the team. Bruce has replaced Rafael Benitez before the start of the current season. Allardyce revealed Newcastle wanted him initially, but he rejected the chance to return to St. James Park after 11 years. "Newcastle wasn't for me. I was very chuffed that Mike [Ashley] considered me again but I felt that Brucey was a better fit than me and good luck to him." Allardyce told Sky Sports. "It is his dream move to manage his home town club and I wish him well. It was the only thing that came up this summer." Source - Sky Sports
