Sam Allardyce has made a worrying claim regarding Liverpool's transfer window, saying that he is "a bit underwhelmed" by the club's activity.
The only transfer that the Reds made before the summer transfer deadline was Ibrahima Konate. Instead of bringing new players, the Premier League side decided to sign new long-term contracts with the first-team players.
“I am a bit underwhelmed by Liverpool, not much activity there,” said Allardyce.
“Wijnaldum going and only one man coming in.
“I know that they are basing a lot on their injured players and the quality of their injured players coming back.
“But who is to say they won’t have that injury crisis again somewhere in the season? And they obviously show that they don’t cope with it that well, so that was a bit underwhelming.”
