Sadio Mane: My parents felt that I should study to become a teacher

Liverpool star Sadio Mane has told about his childhood and his parents attitude towards his wishes to become a professional football player. Senegal international has become a Premier League star while playing in Southampton. He then moved to Liverpool in has become one of the best attacking players in the world. However, not everything was good for little Sadio, as his parents were against his desire of playing football and were seeing an alternative future for him. 'I was born in a village where there had never been a footballer who'd made it in the major championships,' he said (via Daily Mail). 'I remember that when I was little, my parents felt that I should study to become a teacher. They thought football was a waste of time and I'd never succeed at it. I always said: "This is the only job that will enable me to help you. And I think I have a chance to become a footballer".' he added. Mane has scored goals in starting matches of EPL and is leading the race of top-scorers.
