Ryan Giggs' hidden role at Manchester United under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

Wales national team manager and Manchester United legend Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has a hidden transfer role at United, according to The Daily Star. Giggs left Old Trafford after the appointment of Jose Mourinho in 2016. With Ole Gunnar Solskjaer adopting a transfer policy centred around young, British players, Giggs' role at Wales has seen him recommend several stars to his former club. Giggs' role in securing Daniel James a move to Old Trafford as well as the recent interest in Joe Rodon and Rabbi Matondo reported as evidence.  Speaking earlier this season about his recommendation of James to Solskjaer, Giggs told Premier League Productions: “Ole asked me about him and I just told him that he is a player with plenty of potential. He’s really quick, a great lad, someone who you want in the dressing room, a great character. So, it was a no-brainer really, because he is a talent.“ Source: Daily Star
