Ruben Neves has said that Wolverhampton Wanderers must improve in front of goal rapidly as their lack of a cutting edge is ‘making the difference at the moment’.
The 23-year-old was on the scoresheet against Everton on Tuesday night, but Nuno Espirito Santo’s side struggled to create anything in the second half as they lost 2-1.
And ahead of Saturday’s Black Country Derby against West Bromwich Albion, Neves is looking for more creativity and ruthlessness in the final third.
“That’s my job. I always try to do my best and fortunately, I scored a goal,” he said. “But it doesn’t matter as we didn’t get any points from the game.
“I’m really disappointed as I think we did enough to get out with a result, at least a draw, but they scored with the only chance they had in the second half.
“Let’s improve and try to score more goals as I think that’s what is making the difference at the moment.”
