Ruben Loftus-Cheek told to leave Chelsea after Bate Borisov hat-trick

According to former Chelsea midfielder Glenn Hoddle, Ruben Lofrus-Cheek should leave the club despite his hat-trick in a 3-1 victory over Bate Borisov. Loftus-cheek was making only his second start to the season, and he sent a clear message to Maurizio Sarri with a stunning hat-trick in the Europa League. Asked about Loftus-Cheek’s situation, Hoddle told BT Sport: ‘If I’m him, I’m hoping he takes me off before the 90 minutes is up. ‘The fact that the manager hasn’t suggests to me that he won’t be starting him at the weekend. ‘I fear for the lad. If he isn’t going to get the opportunities soon then he has got to move. He’s a talent – with my England hat on I need to see him playing.’ Loftus-Cheek is hopeful that more chances will come his way under Sarri after his hat-trick against BATE. ‘Any player will tell you it’s nice to score a hat-trick. It feels good. Hopefully there’ll be many more to come,’ he said after the win. According to recent rumours, Loftus-Cheek has been linked with a move to Arsenal and will soon ask his club for a temporary move in January.
