Roy Keane and Jamie Carragher have given their prediction regarding the Premier League winner of the season following the 13th matchday of the competition. This weekend two of the main favorites, Manchester City and Liverpool, defeated their rivals, closing on the gap with the leaders Chelsea. The Blues, meanwhile, played a 1 - 1 draw with Manchester United on Sunday. After the match, Keane has opened up on the team that is more likely to end up winning the domestic league. Former United man has backed Pep Guardiola's side to lift the trophy again following the 2020/21 campaign's success. "I wrote off City last year and regretted it because they turned it on and won it so easily. As brilliant as Chelsea and Liverpool are I think at the moment in time I’d go with City," he said on Sky Sports (via Football London). Keane's Sky Sports colleague and former Blues man Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink replied: "It's difficult to say. I think it's going to be tight. I think all three are very, very close and all three can win it. Liverpool are very strong, Man City can go and win 16 in a row. You're pushing me. I would love Chelsea to win it, but it's not going to be that easy." Ex-Liverpool star Jamie Carragher agreed with Keane, saying: "Liverpool have dropped silly points this season but I’m with Roy I’d just go with Man City. "Liverpool kept clean sheets but looked open City defensively look really strong. Liverpool are scoring all the goals but I’d just go with City at this moment in time."
