Ronald Koeman considers Liverpool star as his first signing

New Barcelona manager Ronald Koeman wants to sign Liverpool midfielder Gini Wijnaldum, according to Dutch outlet AD. Wijnaldum is said to be very high on Koeman’s wish list as he looks to rebuild his squad. The Liverpool midfielder took to Twitter to congratulate his former national team boss on his appointment as Barcelona manager, where Koeman enjoyed a stellar playing career. The former Everton manager is keen on rekindling their friendship in Spain as he looks to resurrect a battered and bruised Barcelona. Wijnaldum has entered the last year of his contract with the Premier League champions and talks over a new deal have apparently not begun leading to questions over the future of the 29-year-old.
