According to the latest rumours, Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is ready to sell the club if he receives an offer of £2.5billion.
News emerged on Sunday that the Russian businessman , who was denied a new visa to enter the UK back in May, was looking for a buyer, though the club later denied the reports.
The price tag set by Abramovich is a sum that would make any takeover the biggest of a football club in history.
Nevertheless, there is huge interest from abroad in buying Premier League clubs, with Liverpool’s owners, Fenway Sports Group, recently rejecting a £2bn offer from an Abu Dhabi Sheikh.
