Manchester City have recently suffered, having their senior players on the list of the injured. The Blues are sitting on the 2nd place of the Premier League table six points behind the leaders Liverpool, as the players' absence hugely affected the club's game. City had to play the season without their main stars Leroy Sane and Aymeric Laporte. Yet, more and more injured players joined them during the past week. Rodri has started an impressive season for the Citizens, sparkling in both clashes against Crystal Palace and Atalanta. However, during the last Champions league game against the Italian side the player picked up a hamstring injury. Speaking about Rodri's return to the game, the City boss Pep Guradiola said: "Tomorrow we will know. Hopefully it will be ten days if it's not broken. If so, then three weeks." Alex Zinchenko had to miss the clashes against Crystal Palace and Atalanta. Later he was announced to suffer a knee injury. Guardiola told: "Will be assessed over the coming days to determine the extent of the problem." Aymeric Laporte strongly damaged his knee while playing against Brighton. His surgery was undergone in Barcelona successfully in September. However, the French player needs some time to recover and isn't expected to play till the next year. Laporte posted his working out videos on social media, which means he is on the way to return to the game. The 25-year-old said: "After successful completion of yesterday evenings surgery, I would like to say thanks for all your messages of support during the last few days. I feel trully loved and so thankful about it. I am sad for not being able to join the national team and to not fulfill my dream of making the debut with Les Bleus. I would like to thank the Coach for being so supportive. From now on we start counting down the days to go back to the pitch." Sane picked up a knee injury right 10 minutes into the Cummunity Shield win over Liverpool . Though his physical condition could mean several month's absence, he is expected to come back soon, according to his Instagram. The City boss told about Sane: "He's coming back before the end of the season. In January, December, February could be perfect. He should be perfect."
