Robin van Persie has congratulated Anthony Martial after the Frenchman scored a hat-trick for Manchester United.
Martial scored three goals during United’s 3-0 win over Premier League rivals, Sheffield United. Now he has 19 goals this term in all competitions, the same as his team-mate Marcus Rashford.
It was the forward’s first hat-trick for the Red Devils. Meanwhile, it was United’s first hat-trick in the competition since Van Persie scored three times during Aston Villa clash back in 2013.
And former Red Devils player took Twitter to congratulate Martial. He wrote: “It took a while.. but happy that someone has taken the baton after 7 years [winking emoji] Congratulations on the hat-trick @AnthonyMartial.”
