Rashford has received praises for his recent performacnes. The club boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has insisted the 22-year-old has the potential of becoming a “top player”, comparing him with former United striker Ronaldo.
However, van Persie has urged the United forward not to try to copy others, but to be “someone else” by learning from others.
He told Rashford during a feature interview for BT Sport:
“I’ve seen so many players who want to be someone else, it doesn’t work. If you can learn bits and pieces, great. But don’t try to emulate or copy people.”
