Robin van Persie offers advice to Marcus Rashford amid Cristiano Ronaldo comparisons

Former Manchester United player Robin van Persie has advised Marcus Rashford to work on his own playing style rather than try to copy anyone else, amid the comparisons with Juventus star Cristiano Ronaldo. The England international is enjoying his best season yet with the Red Devils, having scored 16 goals during his 26 appearaces of all competitions. Rashford has received praises for his recent performacnes. The club boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has insisted the 22-year-old has the potential of becoming a "top player", comparing him with former United striker Ronaldo. However, van Persie has urged the United forward not to try to copy others, but to be "someone else" by learning from others. He told Rashford during a feature interview for BT Sport: "I've seen so many players who want to be someone else, it doesn't work. If you can learn bits and pieces, great. But don't try to emulate or copy people."
