Roberto Firmino breaks silence after terrible injury v Tottenham

Liverpool ace Roberto Firmino has confirmed that there’s nothing serious with his eye after horrifying incident involving defender Jan Vertonghen. Brazilian striker Firmino was forced off during Liverpool’s 2-1 victory over Tottenham on Saturday after Vertonghen unintentionally gauged his left eye. However, Firmino has confirmed that his eye is ‘okay’ and thanked Liverpool fans for their support. ‘It was just a scare, my eye is okay and so am I,’ he said on Instagram. ‘Thank you for all the support and see you soon.’ The Reds reached their fifth consecutive Premier League victory after beating Tottenham.
