Rio Ferdinand has spoken out on Manchester United's display against Atalanta in the Champions League. United played a 2-2 draw with the Serie A side on Tuesday in the UCL group stage.
The Red Devils saw Atalanta take the lead twice in the game as Cristiano Ronaldo scored a double and equalized twice for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side.
Now, the Red Devils turn their attention to the Premier League where they will host Manchester City on Saturday, November 6.
"[Manchester United] can’t have that second-half performance against Man City. If they do they get slapped again," Ferdinand told BT Sport.
"It will be three, four or five because it shows a real lack of respect for the opposition, being really fragmentised, slack and sloppy.
"The intensity wasn’t there. It was disarray, it was just hope. It came down to a moment of brilliance and Ronaldo has saved them again."
