Rio Ferdinand identifies six Premier League title contenders at halfway stage

Rio Ferdinand says six teams are in the race for the Premier League title this season, with Manchester United leading the way. The Red Devils are currently sitting in 1st place in the league table, while Manchester City, Leicester City and Liverpool are following them, forming the top four. Ferdinand believes all these four clubs are the league title contenders, while Everton and Tottenham also have chances to get the trophy. “If you look at the league, you’ve got Man United, Man City, Tottenham (plus Liverpool and Leicester)… I think down to Everton," said ex-United defender, quoted by the Manchester Evening News “Ancelotti knows what it takes to win a league," said Ferdinand. "He’s got a very good team there, the squad depth probably isn’t what he would like but I think you’ve got to look at down to Everton.”
