Ricardo Pereira provides injury update after two months of rehabilitation process

Leicester City right-back Ricardo Pereira has provided an injury update as he recovers from a serious knee injury. The 26-year-old picked up ligament damage in the 4-0 win over Aston Villa and had to undergo surgery at the end of March. After two months of the rehabilitation process, City defender has revealed he can "move normally" again. He told LCFC TV: "It’s very good. I feel more confident. I feel more strength in my leg. I’m starting to build my muscle again. The knee is not as swollen as it was. I feel very good. I can move normally, as before, when I’m at home and moving. So much better. I’m very happy with rehabilitation so far. I’m with a big smile because of that and I’m happy with the development of the injury." Despite the good news, Ricardo is likely to miss the remainder of the season, with the recovery process taking a long time, even if the Premier League campaign is expected to finish in late July due to the coronavirus outbreak.
