Premier League clubs could lose at least £750 mln of £3 bn total amount if the season is not completed, the Daily Mail understands.
The season has been stopped until April 3, but it is not yet certain when it will restart and finish. Under those circumstances, clubs could lose the profit they generate from TV-broadcasting.
The £750 mln is calculated for the 10 remaining matches that the clubs are yet to play.
As the contract for the new season is kicking in on August 1, and the current ones finish on July 31, the clubs could receive major problems if the season restarts and does not finish on these dates.
UEFA have earlier pushed back European Championship to 2021.
The tournament was scheduled to be held in 12 cities in 12 UEFA countries from 12 June to 12 July 2020, however, due to coronavirus outbreak, it was postponed.
The Norwegian FA have taken to Twitter and are the first country to have announced that Euro 2020 will be postponed.
The competition will now run between 11 June and 11 July 2021.
