REVEALED: Why Maurizio Sarri decided to quit Chelsea

Photo/Shaun Botterill/Getty Images Maurizio Sarri has given the green light to become Juventus manager after the Italian champions agreed a £7million compensation fee with Chelsea on Thursday night. The Italian secured Champions League qualification for the Blues by finishing third in the Premier League and then won the Europa League. Nevertheless, he reached a breaking point when Chelsea fans chanted "Sarri out" and "f*** Sarri-ball" during the win over Cardiff in March. There are several reasons behind his escape, but according to The Sun, the final straw was the barracking from the stands in the Welsh capital. Travelling fans made their feelings brutally clear after watching their side fall behind to a Victor Camarasa strike - ramping up their anti-Sarri protests. Chelsea needed a stroke of luck to get back into the game as Cesar Azpilicueta scored from an offside position before Ruben Loftus-Cheek netted a late winner. The win helped Chelsea on their way to a top-four finish. Sarri has taken charge of 19 clubs in total and has yet to stay more than three seasons at any of them.
