Bayern Munich revealed the level of interest in Liverpool’s Champions League visit to Germany.
The two clubs were drawn together in the round of 16 in Europe’s elite competition. The first leg takes place at Anfield on Tuesday, February 19 and tickets for the match will go on sale next week.
Bayern have already announced they have received more than 310,000 requests for tickets from their members and fan clubs for the return match, which takes place at the Allianz Arena on March 13.
That far outstrips the level of interest in Bayern’s semi-final clash with Real Madrid last season, for which the Bundesliga side received 250,000 requests.
The Bayern Munich website has also indicated Liverpool will receive around 3,800 tickets, although that figure has not yet been confirmed by the Anfield club.
