Arsenal look set to complete their first transfer of the summer with a five-year contract for Gabriel Martinelli in a few hours.
The Brazilian youngster, who currently plays for Ituano is today celebrating his 18
th birthday and reports claim that Arsenal will complete the deal as soon as he turns 18.
Martinelli is regarded as one of Brazil's hottest prospects and marks the start of an exciting new chapter for the Gunners in the transfer market.
If Martinelli joins Arsenal he will follow in the footsteps of the Brazilians who have all made the switch to Europe at a relatively young age - Gabriel Jesus, Neymar and Richarlison.
The north London outfit have been linked with a number of wingers since Emery was appointed, with Lille star Nicolas Pepe and Bournemouth man Ryan Fraser but Martinelli is the player Arsenal fans have been crying out for in recent years.
It's understood that Martinelli is also on the radar of Corinthians, Cruzeiro, Flamengo, Palmeiras and Santos, but the €10m is set to be a sticking point thus giving European team such as Arsenal an advantage due to their financial power.
