Arsenal are set to take on Spanish champions Barcelona in the prestigious Joan Gamper Trophy friendly on Sunday, August 4 at the Camp Nou.
The friendly match is expected to be Arsenal's final pre-season game before their Premier League season begins away to Newcastle United on August 11.
Unai Emery's side would be only the second English club to take part in the competition in its current two team format. Manchester City took part in the match in 2009.
Emery's first team will be playing on both coasts of the USA in the International Champions Cup, facing off against Bayern Munich in Los Angeles before games against Fiorentina in Charlotte and Real Madrid in Washington.
Following that comes the return of the Emirates Cup in north London and a game away to Angers to celebrate the French side's 100th anniversary.
