Reports: Antonio Conte’s decision could HELP Tottenham SIGN Inter Milan DEFENDER

Tottenham are reportedly interested in signing Inter Milan center back Diego Godin, as reported by The Mirror.  Spurs head coach Jose Mourinho wants the Uruguayan international in his squad, despite being rejected by the player in 2018, when the Portuguese was in charge of Manchester United.

Mourinho is determined to add an experienced defensive leader to his dressing room in Diego Godin.

34-year-old Godin, who has joined Inter Milan last summer, has failed to make an impact for Nerazzurri, starting only 8 times in 25 Serie A matches.  And now everything could depend on Inter coach Antonio Conte. Having Milan Skriniar and Stefan De Vrij, Inter coach could consider signing a new center back or give a chance to young Alessandro Bastoni.  If Godin is informed he won’t be given enough playing time, he could consider a move to the Premier League. Manchester United are also interested in signing the former Atletico Madrid star.
