Reporter makes claim about Arsenal's transfer battle for Houssem Aouar

Mark Ogden has suggested that a "deal will happen" for Houssem Aouar this summer, while Tottenham have the "best idea" to try and sign reported Arsenal target. Lyon star has been heavily linked with the move to Gunners since last summer, while now Spurs are reported to join the race for the 23-year-old's signature. Ogden has spoken about the Lilywhites' idea of using Tanguy Ndombele in a potential deal amid Arsenal interest. “The problem with this deal is that Ndombele earns quite a lot of money,” he told ESPN. “He would be Lyon’s biggest earner by some way if he went back to Lyon, so the finances might not stack up.  “Aouar is a player who Arsenal were very keen to get him last year but it didn’t quite happen. I think there is going to be a bit of a scramble for him. “He is obviously available this summer. If he’s looking at clubs likes Man United, Liverpool, Tottenham and Arsenal then I think a deal will get done.  “But, right now, Spurs seem to have the best idea with a player swap. I just don’t see how it stacks up in terms of the finances.”
