Report: West Ham launch £40m bid for Premier League ace

With just 10 days remaining in the summer transfer window, West Ham find themselves among several clubs scrambling to finalize last-minute deals and reinforce various positions within their squad.

Despite some recent additions to their roster, the transfer window hasn't been particularly favorable for the Hammers, especially when comparing their expenditures to previous windows.

Opting to wait for Arsenal's potential acquisition of Declan Rice before making their own moves now appears to be a regrettable choice, leaving the club struggling in the transfer market.

Nevertheless, there is still a window of opportunity for agreements to be reached if all parties involved are enthusiastic about making deals happen.

According to a report by Football Insider, David Moyes' side submitted a formal offer ranging between £35 million and £40 million for Dominic Solanke from Bournemouth.

With the departure of Gianluca Scamacca and the potential departure of Michail Antonio to the Saudi Pro League looming, the Londoners are actively engaged in recruitment efforts.

However, it remains uncertain whether the Cherries are willing to agree to the proposed price and whether the 2-year-old, who is believed to be under contract with the club until 2026, is interested in returning to London, where he initially kick-started his career with Chelsea.
