Redknapp makes huge admission over Pochettino to Manchester United

Former Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp has insisted that Mauricio Pochettino wanted the Manchester United job last season. Before Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took the caretaker manager role in December 2018, United reportedly had been considering Pochettino for the manager position. Speaking to Sky Sports’ The Debate, Redknapp has revealed the Argentine manager thought he landed the Old Trafford job: “I’ve got to be honest, I think he (Pochettino) wanted the Man United job. I think he wanted the Manchester United job last year. I know for a fact that he thought he had the job at United but he didn’t get it,” he said. Pochettino has been sacked from Tottenham head coach position on Tuesday, and the next day Jose Mourinho was announced to be the new Spurs boss. Source- Football 365
