Manchester United staff were left appalled after Jose Mourinho wore trainers to the Munich disaster in February.
While club officials wore suits on February 6 to mark the 60
th anniversary of the Munich air disaster, in which a plane carrying the United squad crashed causing 23 deaths, the 55-year-old wore white-trimmed trainers, as well as a black hooded jumper.
According to the Times, his decision was seen as hugely disrespectful to senior figures at United.
The 55-year-old took over in May 2016 and led United to League Cup and Europa League titles, but they are 19 points behind league leaders, Liverpool and was axed by Manchester United on Tuesday.
