Ray Parlour welcomes Arteta appointment as Arsenal head coach

VBET ambassador believes new head coach Mikel Arteta has what it takes to bring the glory days back to Arsenal. Arteta, 37, was on Friday announced as Unai Emery’s full-time successor, with the Spaniard having signed a three-and-a-half-year deal. He arrives at Emirates Stadium from Manchester City, for whom he was Pep Guardiola’s coach since 2016. And Arsenal legend Parlour believes that experience will be crucial to the managerial development of Arteta, who made 150 appearances for the Gunners between 2011-2016. Parlour told VBET News: “It’s a massive decision from Arsenal’s point of view. “He had a wonderful playing career and he was brilliant under Pep Guardiola. “Hopefully he’s learnt a lot of Pep and will become a great manager himself. “Every single person at Arsenal Football Club have got to get right behind him and hopefully he’ll be the man to take the club forward.”
