Rangers boss Steven Gerrard speaks on the rumours James Tavernier could miss Europa League game

Rangers boss Steven Gerrard has spoken out on the reports that James Tavernier could miss the Gers Europa League clash with Antwerp. Rangers are preparing to face Antwerp in the Europa League round of 32 first leg on Thursday, February 18. Ahead of the clash, the Daily Mail reported that the Gers captain had limped off during training and was, therefore, a doubt for the game. Speaking to the media ahead of tomorrow’s game, Gerrard said: "We have seen recent rumours that James [Tavernier] is carrying a niggle which is fake news. “There is nothing in that.” During this season, Tavernier has made 40 appearances in which he has scored 17 goals and provided 15 assists. source - GlasgowTimes
