Ramsey, Xhaka and Koscielny: Arsenal latest injury update ahead of Everton tie

Arsenal are set to face Everton on Sunday in a very good shape. There are three players who could miss the match because of injuries - Aaron Ramsey, Granit Xhaka and Laurent Koscielny. The club will provide official confirmation of the status of the players on Friday but all three are  expected to be the subject of fitness tests before the journey to Merseyside. There is cause for optimism that Aaron Ramsey will be available as tests on the Welsh midfielder confirmed that he had been forced out of Arsenal's 2-0 win over Newcastle United with cramp rather than anything more serious. Koscielny is making good progress after bruising his foot before the win over Newcastle. Xhaka is continuing his recovery from a tight groin and could well be in contention for the game. However Emery must carefully manage his squad's fitness with both legs of a Europa League quarter-final against Napoli and a Premier League game at Watford on the immediate horizon. Emery will be forced to decide between gambling on Koscielny's fitness or Sokratis' disciplinary record on Sunday and he is also expected to make a straight choice between Xhaka and Ramsey to partner Matteo Guendouzi in midfield. Further forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is likely to be available to start after a high temperature forced Emery to name the striker among his substitutes on Monday.
