Raheem Sterling responds to social media abuse after Manchester City thrash Liverpool

Raheem Sterling has laughed off abuse he has received on social media following Manchester City's thrashing of Liverpool. The City forward is not held in the highest regard by sections of the Liverpool fanbase after he opted to jump ship back in 2015. Sterling has often been branded a "snake" by Reds fans on social media. He was subjected to more abuse on Thursday though due to his role in City's 4-0 win over the newly-crowned champions at the Etihad. Responding to the barbs, he tweeted: "Wow so much abuse in here (laughing faces), its just a game people, you win some, you lose some. But still happy to win it tonight. Have a good night."   The 25-year-old had a hand in three of City's goals, including winning a penalty for the opener. Source: The Mirror
