Raheem Sterling was racially abused during Chelsea game

Manchester City star Raheem Sterling has told the police that he was racially abused at Stamford Bridge. In a video footage it’s seen how a Chelsea fan is screaming “f****** black c***” at him with police travelling from London to Manchester to investigate the case. Folowing the match Sterling told Manchester City security staff that he had heared a racist remark. Chelsea are working closely with police to provide CCTV footage from the ground to go with TV footage from BTSport, who were covering the match. And investigators are attempting to find audio that would confirm exactly what was shouted at Sterling. Sterling posted on instagram: “I just want to say I am not normally the person to talk a lot but when I think I need my point to [be] heard I will speak up. “Regarding what was said at the Chelsea game as you can see by my reaction I just had to laugh because I don’t expect no better.” Sterling posted on instagram: “I just want to say I am not normally the person to talk a lot but when I think I need my point to [be] heard I will speak up. “Regarding what was said at the Chelsea game as you can see by my reaction I just had to laugh because I don’t expect no better.” “They should have been talking out last night and it has to (be) dealt with at the top. “We do not have any leadership at the top of the game to speak out, they rely on Kick it Out.” A Professional Footballers' Association statement on Sterling abuse said: "The PFA condemn, in the strongest terms, the increase in racial abuse our members have been receiving from the terraces. We encourage all clubs to take the strongest possible action for fans found guilty of racially abusing players. "Over the past 2 weeks, we have seen 2 alleged high-profile racist incidents happen from the stands at PL games. We stress to all clubs the importance of dealing with these incidents robustly. It is not acceptable for our members to find themselves subject to racist abuse."
