Raheem Sterling to pay funeral costs of Crystal Palace youngster who tragically died last month
Raheem Sterling will pay funeral costs of Damary Dawkins, Crystal Palace youngster, who tragically died at age of 16 last month.
Sterling had visited Dawkins earlier in November and supported the campaign, organized to help the boy find a suitable stem cell donor. Despite undergoing two stem cell transplant in December, Damary tragically passed away.
"Damary was a special young man who touched a lot of lives, including my own" Man City star said (via The Sun).
England international also paid tribute to Damay during the latest match of national team against Czech Republic during Euro-2020 Qualifiers.
Sterling showed a t-shirt with the picture of him and Dawkins after scoring one of the goals during that match.
