Manchester City star Raheem Sterling says he still has strange feelings during the matches against Liverpool.
Sterling, former Merseyside club player, has joined Manchester City in 2015. He has then faced his former side 11 times and scored only 1 goal, which came during the Community Shield at Wembley.
When asked if facing Liverpool is still odd, Sterling told FourFourTwo: "Yeah, because it was a club that gave me a football career."
“They invested a lot of time and money in me, so every time I go there or play them, I get flashbacks – not just of playing for the first team, but putting on the shirt for the first time in my first under-18s derby against Everton, things like that.” England international added.
Liverpool are currently eight-points clear of their title race rivals after 8 matches.
Merseyside club will visit Old Trafford this Sundary to face Manchester United, while Manchester City will have an away game at Salhurst Park against Crystal Palace.
