Raheem Sterling has deleted a post on Twitter in which he joked about Manchester City re-signing Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund.
Manchester United are already preparing a move for the 18-year-old who is set to become one of most in-demand players during the summer transfer window.
City, meanwhile were forced to offload Sancho for just £8 million in August 2017 as the midfielder refused to sign a new contract and saw clearer first-team opportunities at Dortmund.
Sterling has indicated to City fans that he is using it as an opportunity to convince Sancho to make the move back to the Etihad Stadium with a light-hearted post on Twitter, which was subsequently deleted.
