Manchester City’s Raheem Sterling has broken his silence regarding speculation on his future, after a number of transfer links.
City are reportedly looking to offload the former Liverpool man, with Arsenal touted for his services, and fresh speculation has put Barcelona in the running.
However, Sterling has stated he is completely ignoring the speculation and is instead focusing upon England’s upcoming campaign at the European Championship.
“Do what they done before we had social media. Don’t check anything, don’t look at anything. That’s the most important thing,” he replied when asked by TalkSport how he blocks out speculation.
“I am feeling good. It is all about mentality. You can play a lot of games but if mentally you are not happy, if mentally you are down, okay the tournament could be physically demanding.
“But if you are happy and raring to go, that is the most important thing. It is where your head is at and mind space. And right now my mindset is smile and be happy.”
England begin their Euro 2020 campaign on Sunday against Croatia, followed by group stage matches against Scotland and the Czech Republic.
