Rafael sends message to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer ahead of emotional Old Trafford return

Rafael da Silva has thanked Ole Gunnar Solskjaer for helping him when he was a young  Manchester United player and says it's a "dream come true" to be returning to Old Trafford. The right-back has made 170 appearances, winning three Premier League titles, three Community Shields and a League Cup during his seven-year spell with the Red Devils. In the summer, the Brazilian joined Istanbul Basaksehir on a free transfer, while now he is set to make a return to Old Trafford to face his former side in the Champions League. Asked whether he was looking forward to seeing Solskjaer, Rafael replied: "Of course. ‘Ole was starting his career as a coach here when I started and he helped me a lot and he helped my brother a lot. So I just thank Ole for everything and I hope he can have a great career at Manchester United. Coming back is a dream coming true, you know. I just remember a lot of things, I love this club and I feel happiness when I am here." Then he added: "It is a game and of course I want to win, I want to qualify with Istanbul Basaksehir and it’s the first time the club has played in the Champions League, so this is a very important game. "We have a chance to qualify so we need to do the same as we did in Turkey. ‘I know it will be very, very hard, United are very good, so we need to concentrate and try to win this game."
